The team at DCO is dedicated to eliminating barriers and helping everyone become the best version of themselves through education, recreation and therapy. If you believe in our mission and want to support us, check out a few ways you can help.

Donations

There are ample opportunities for you to contribute to our mission. Gifts of any kind are a tremendous help to us. Donations help us pay for out-of-budget expenses, such as lawn care, maintenance supplies or professional clothing for our employment program. These monetary gifts are a meaningful way to support DCO and stay involved in our mission.

Supplies are also appreciated. Art and craft supplies such as fabric, paper, ribbon, crayons, markers and paints can always be used by our adults with disabilities who love to create. Whatever you decide to give, thank you in advance for your support of our work.

Volunteer Opportunities

Your time is as valuable to us as your donations. You can participate in a variety of volunteer opportunities at DCO. In our Early Child Care and Education building, you may be asked to do the following:

Rock babies to sleep

Play with and/or read to children

For college and high school students, service learning and practicums with DCO are a great way to get real-world experience.

You can register with the Missouri Family Care Safety Registry to get ready to volunteer at DCO. The required background check takes 30 days for approval, and registration costs $11.
