Our Program
The DCO Adult Day Center is licensed by the Department of Health & Senior Services, approved by Medicaid and nationally accredited by CARF.
Our program hours are 7:30 AM until 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack provide the nutritional balance many individuals need. Full-day and a limited number of part-day time slots are provided for the family’s convenience. A full-time nurse supervises and provides medical support, treatments and medications.
Structured activities are provided in a safe, supervised environment with the opportunity for community access. Our goal is to emphasize leisure and personal needs at our Adult Day Center, making this an ideal program for those who want to “slow down” or may need special assistance.
Our Program Objectives are designed to assist the participant:
- Increase independence and skill retention.
- Retain and improve communication.
- Increase positive social interactions.
- Enjoy leisure and recreation as desired.
Who Is This Program For?
This program is designed for all persons 55 and older without a disability and individuals 18 and older with developmental disabilities in a shared space.

Referrals and support come from the following sources:
- Missouri Department of Mental Health
- Division of Developmental Disabilities
- Springfield Regional Office
- Missouri Department of Health & Senior Services
- Private pay
The team at DCO focuses their services on access and inclusion for infants, children and adults with disabilities. They are a fantastic organization to support and we are so lucky to have them right here in the Ozarks.
