The Accounts Payable Payroll Clerk supports the financial operations of the Developmental Center of the Ozarks by processing invoices, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring timely and compliant payment practices. This part‑time role plays an essential part in upholding the organization’s financial integrity and supporting DCO’s mission of empowering individuals with disabilities through ethical, efficient, and reliable financial stewardship.

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial work

- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and QuickBooks
- Clear and professional written and verbal communication
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
- Strong customer service skills when working with vendors and staff
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment
Key Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable and maintain accurate financial records
- Prepare weekly payments and reconcile credit card activity
- Support biweekly payroll processing and reporting
- Assist with month‑end tasks, audits, and financial documentation
- Provide customer service to vendors and staff while maintaining confidentiality
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer.
- Frequent use of hands and fingers for keyboarding.
- Occasionally lift or move up to 20 pounds.
Requirements
- Associate degree in Accounting, Business, or related field
- 2+ years of accounts payable experience
- Nonprofit accounting and payroll experience preferred
- Knowledge of payroll tax reporting and compliance
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and QuickBooks
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
- Strong customer service and collaborative work style

Salary – $25/hour – $30/hour
