The Developmental Center of the Ozarks (DCO) Connects program brings learning to life by combining classroom instruction with meaningful community experiences. Designed for adults with developmental disabilities pursuing independence, this program offers hands-on, community-based education that builds confidence and essential real-world skills. Participants engage daily in enriching activities supported by specially trained staff, focusing on essential life skills such as cooking, budgeting, and effective social interaction. Through DCO Connects, individuals gain the tools they need to thrive, fostering greater independence and a pathway toward a confident, fulfilling future.

Who Is This Program For?
CONNECTS is designed to support meaningful, engaged lives for adults with disabilities needing minimal support. We focus on the whole person—abilities, interests, relationships, and goals.
A supportive staffing model, CONNECTS empowers adults with developmental disabilities to engage in their local community, building relationships and confidence as they learn to navigate the world around them.
Adults in this program are building pathways to long-term success.

PROGRAM COST: There is generally no cost with referrals and support from DMH, Division of Developmental Disabilities Springfield Regional Office. Private Pay Accepted. Call for details.
