- Complete Discovery & Exploration for individuals entering Supported Employment
- Develop job opportunities by connecting with employers and promoting DCO’s employment services
- Assist participants with resumes, applications, interview preparation, and job matching
- Provide on‑the‑job training, task analysis, and coaching to support skill development
- Support non‑work skills such as communication, socialization, and workplace expectations
- Collaborate with employers, VR counselors, support coordinators, and team members
- Maintain accurate daily, weekly, and monthly documentation
- Provide Follow‑Along services once participants reach independence
- Substitute for job coaches as needed
Essential Skills & Abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to teach job tasks using task analysis and positive reinforcement
- Professional, tactful interaction with employers, families, and participants
- Ability to work independently and follow written or verbal instructions
- Ability to maintain CPR/First Aid certification and follow all DCO policies
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Preferred: 1 year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in job coaching
- Employment Training Specialist certification (or equivalent) when available
- Class E driver’s license
- Ability to pass background requirements; non‑smoking, drug‑free environment

$20.00–$22.00 per hour, based on education and experience
