Our Mission
Developmental Center of the Ozarks makes a positive difference in the community by providing services which enable individuals to reach and maintain their optimal level of development.
Our Purpose
The Developmental Center of the Ozarks serves infants, children, and adults who are developmentally disabled, developmentally delayed or physically disabled, as well as those who are not, through therapeutic, educational, habilitative and rehabilitative programs. - Community Awareness and information programs which include public speaking, tours of DCO facilities, agency and program brochures, an annual report, a quarterly newsletter, various fund-raising activities and public service announcements.
- Continued Education of families, employers, and the community in issues related to developmental disabilities through training classes, presentations, and both formal and informal interactions.
- Political Involvement in local, regional, and state venues to ensure continued update and services which are current, innovative, and of the highest quality.
